R.A. Ebell has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Softlogic Holdings Plc with effect from 20 March 2014.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK, Ebell holds a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He has over 35 years of accounting and commercial experience after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.
Ebell worked for Hayleys Plc from 1977 to 2009 in various positions in services and operations and was Finance Director at the time of resigning. He worked for Loadstar Ltd., as Chief Financial Officer from mid-2010 to mid-2012. He is currently an Independent Non Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Finlays Colombo Plc and of Laugfs Capital Ltd.
He is a Past President of CIMA Sri Lanka Division and is currently a member of the ICASL’s Quality Assurance Board.
Following the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Softlogic Holdings Plc comprises of A. Pathirage (Chairman and Managing Director), H. Gunawardena, H. Kaimal, R. Perera, R. Rasool, S. Selliah, D. Rodrigo, P.L. De Alwis, G.L.H. Premaratne and R.A. Ebell.
