Elephant House, one of the country’s most cherished brands, is to partner with the Deyata Kirula national development exhibition yet again. Working with Deyata Kirula since the first expo in 2007, Elephant House plans to offer its popular ice cream, food and soft drink products to the public at the event. This year’s expo is to be held from 21 February to 2 March in Kuliyapitiya, Kurunegala. “At Elephant House we are committed to offer our assistance to the communities we operate in. Having partnered with Deyata Kirula since the first expo in 2007, we have seen how the Government has drawn on the exhibitions to fast track regional development. We are glad to continue to work with them this year as well,” said Ceylon Cold Stores (Elephant House) Head of Frozen Confectionary/John Keells Holdings Vice President Neil Samarasinghe. This year’s exhibition is aimed at expediting development activities in the Kegalle, Kurunegala and Puttalam districts. Working together, various ministries are to implement several projects in these districts. Mobile services too are to be deployed to identify and resolve problems faced by the public. Set to cover 2,731 grama niladhari divisions in the three districts, the movement will touch the lives of 3.2 million citizens in the area.
