The Grand Draw of the recently concluded Elephant House Stick Eke Luck Eka consumer promotion saw thirty winners, many of them kids and teenagers, rewarded with 12 mountain bikes, 6 digital cameras, 6 Sony Play Stations and 6 Samsung Galaxy phones. This was the most successful consumer promotion for ice cream ever held in Sri Lanka, with the number of entries for the two draws exceeding 100,000.
The 30 grand draw mega prize winners received their rewards at a special event held on 15 October 2013, at Earl’s Court, Cinnamon Lakeside. That many of them were of a young age group brought home the fact that this consumer promotion has successfully reached and, thereafter, rewarded its target consumers. In addition to the prizes awarded at the two draws, Elephant House ice cream fans won over 700,000 instant prizes of 2Bar and Jumbo Jolly ice creams during this consumer promotion’s entire two month period. The Grand Draw prize list brought the number of mega prizes awarded during the Elephant House ‘Stick Eke Luck Eka’ consumer promotion to a total of 20 mountain bikes, 10 digital cameras, 10 Sony Play Stations and 10 Samsung Galaxy phones.
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (Elephant House) Head of Frozen Confectionery and John Keells Holdings PLC Vice President Neil Samarasinghe expressed his views on the successful completion of this promotion; “As we reach the end of another consumer promotion that has been both exciting and rewarding for our consumers, I would like to specially mention and thank the Elephant House sales, marketing and production teams along with the island wide dealer network that played a critical role in order to ensure a successful campaign.”
“It was also especially gratifying for us at Elephant House to note the participation of diverse groups of consumers, and not just towns and urban centres but, importantly, villages and even tiny hamlets throughout Sri Lanka. This tremendous groundswell of participation is a clear indication that the love for the Elephant House brand and particularly our ice cream portfolio, remains strong, with consumers still loving the creamy goodness of our high quality frozen treat,” said Samarasinghe.
