Emerging diversification of services and goods exports seminar

‘Diversifying & Expanding Export of Services & Goods: Beyond Conventional Thinking’ is the theme of the next public seminar organised by the Pathfinder Foundation (PF). The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday 3 December from 2:45 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the BMICH.
This is the second of a series of analytical studies being presented for public awareness and consultation of a broader project titled ‘Towards Re-invigorating Economic Growth and Sustainable Reconciliation’. This project is implemented by the Pathfinder Foundation in cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Colombo.
The key note address at the seminar will be made by Verité Research Senior Economic Analyst Subhashini Abeysinghe, who was formally with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Colombo Dockyard PLC Managing Director/CEO Mangala Yapa will be making his comments primarily focusing on the opportunities for export expansion and diversification with the emergence of Sri Lanka as a maritime hub.
This presentation will be followed by Mohan Mendis who is a senior marketing consultant and currently Director, Marketing and Finance of Heritage Tea Group. The seminar will be chaired and moderated by Hayleys Group Senior Economist Deshal de Mel, who himself will present his vision on new horizons for Sri Lankan exports in the coming decade.
At the end of the presentations participants will be provided with an opportunity to raise specific issues pertaining to the areas under discussion.
