Eric Wikramanayake has been appointed as an Executive Director cum Deputy Chairman of Lanka Century Investments PLC with effect from 1 January 2014. Lanka Century is formerly ERI and Eric was serving as the CEO.
He is also a Director of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, South Asia Textiles Ltd., whilst he is the Chairman of Olancom Ltd., and its subsidiaries Enterprise Technology Ltd. and Senit Technology Ltd.
Eric’s experience includes working as a Management Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PwC) and at Ernst & Whinney (now known as Ernst & Young). He also worked at Lockheed Information Management Services Company, Los Angeles as a Manager for International Business Development. He founded Qualitek Systems in 1994, Sasianet Ltd. and Roomsenet International.
Erick had his early education in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore and graduated from the Singapore American School in 1980. He has a BSc degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, and also passed the US Certified Public Accountancy Examination (CPA) in the State of California. He obtained a MBA from Pepperdine University, California.
Tabprobane Holdings owns 28.91% stake in Century Investments PLC whilst foreign investor Caledonian Securities hold 27.7% stake.
Following the new appointment, the Board of Directors of Lanka Century Investments PLC comprises of A.G. Weerasinghe (Chairman), Eric Wickramanayake (Deputy Chairman/Executive Director), K.T. Ehler, D.S.K. Amarasekera, R.P. Sugathadasa and T. Scanlan.
