With a view to providing an inspirational impetus to the leaders of today and tomorrow, the Royal College Class of 72 has made it one of its primary missions to obtain the proven leaders of their respective fields to present their experiences and accumulated wisdom to the young leaders of today and the future.

In the inaugural seminar conducted in January 2012, a galaxy of our nation’s best and foremost personalities held the participants enthralled with their first-hand experiences and gleanings in their respective fields. The seminar was a resounding success on account of its being an intimate and first-hand exposé of the fundamentals of success in any aspect of human interest and endeavour.

The sequel to the first seminar, also entitled ‘Excellence in Action 2013’ will be conducted at the Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand on 13 February 2013 from 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

The outstanding Leaders who will be embellishing this dialogue of unique leadership are Hiran Cooray, Chairman – Jetwing Group, Kumar Sangakkara, Former Sri Lanka Cricket Captain, Dian Gomes, Group Managing Director – MAS Holdings, Rajendra Theagarajah, MD/CEO – HNB and Desmond Devendran, CEO – Foresec Academy of Information and Assurance – an American based institution.

Real life underwater explorers and miraculous survivors, Messrs. Azmath Iqbal and Nakeeb Hussain will speak on ‘survival’. These young gentlemen are two of the four divers rescued after a gruelling ordeal having braved the ocean and its denizens for over 24 hours in the high and deep seas of Mount Lavinia in November 2012. Since the seminar features one-on-one discourses with outstanding personalities, it is of immense benefit to all levels of management, students of management courses and those preparing for professional examinations.

Close encounters with distinguished personages of this calibre will undoubtedly impact on the positive attitudes of the participants and inspire them to exhilarate in the personal experiences of these leaders and instil in them forever the indomitable ‘can-do’ spirit.
