Expo Freight and Expolanka bag three awards at NCE Awards

Expolanka Holdings PLC’s subsidiaries Expolanka Freight (EFL), and Expolanka Ltd. walked away with top honours with two Gold and one Bronze award at the 21st Annual National Chamber of Exporters Awards Ceremony held in Colombo. Expolanka Freight (EFL) won the Gold as the Most Outstanding Exporter - Service Providers to Exporters and Gold for the Service Providers to Exporters ‘Extra- Large Category’. It is noteworthy that EFL won Silver in this category at the previous year’s awards and a Bronze the preceding year. Launched 30 years ago, EFL is a prominent IATA agent in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the USA. It commands a global footprint today with staff strength of over 1200 across 16 countries and 45 cities. Its tailor-made flexible solutions, strategic reach and reliability, coupled with its multi-modal transportation and logistics with ocean and air transportation have positioned EFL as one of the largest air and ocean freight forwarders, in the region. While engaged in the regular handling of perishables, commodities, telecom and medical equipment, project cargo, machinery and pharmaceuticals, the company primarily focuses on servicing the apparel industry as fashion logistics specialists. Expolanka Ltd. has a prominent presence in the markets of the Middle East, the Mediterranean, Africa, Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom, and has continued to be Sri Lanka’s largest exporter for these produce, for the past several years. Expolanka Ltd. has earned a reputation as a reliable and quality conscious exporter and has won several accolades including the Presidential Award for Exports and the National Chamber of Exporters Gold award for Value Added Agriculture under the Extra Large Category in the past.
