Expolanka Holdings PLC was awarded with the Gold Award for its “Tagged” 2012/2013 Annual Report at the recently concluded Spotlight Awards Global Communications Competition by the League of American Communications Professional (LACP).

The concept of the annual report orchestrated the fact that in everything Expo does, may it be in Sri Lanka or the world over you can rest assure that it will be tagged with our guarantee of quality and excellence.” The report was conceptualised and designed by Copyline Ltd. and the production handled by Gunaratne Offset Ltd.
Tremendous competition
“This year’s entry for Expolanka Holdings PLC, ‘Tagged’, proves to be remarkable in light of tremendous competition. Overall we find this work to be Outstanding, earning a total score of 98 out of a maximum 100 points. With this strong performance, ‘Tagged’ has been recognised with a Gold Award within its competition class,” said LACP Managing Director Christine Kennedy.
Through several hundred hours of judging, LACP identified winners within peer-level competition classes. Competition classes were established to create the most level playing field possible between entries. They were determined according to a proprietary judging system developed by LACP, which assigns point values to various criteria of an entry. A composite score, based on a 100-pont scale, was then determined by summing the results of all judging criteria.
Outstanding narrative
“The first impression presented by this entry is exceptional while the narrative is outstanding. The visual design presented by ‘Tagged’ is exceptional, tied with a level of creativity that is superb. Our belief is that the target audience will find the level of relevance and clarity to be superb and exceptional, respectively, demonstrating the success of this project in connecting with the right people and delivering a highly applicable and persuasive message,” Kennedy added.
The League of American Communications Professional (LACP) was established in 2001 in order to create a forum within the public relations industry that facilitates discussion of best-in-class practices within the profession while also recognizing those who demonstrate exemplary communications capabilities.
