The extensive portfolio of Asian Paints Lanka has been given a new look across all product categories that the company is involved in.

The introduction of new packaging is intended to achieve closer alignment of visual branding and appearance with those of products of its parent company Asian Paints, the largest decorative coating company in India, the company said.

The new labelling is designed to place a stronger emphasis on the Asian Paints brand. The new packs use a strong shade of purple with the Asian Paints brand logo positioned vertically on the left side of the package and the name of the respective product alongside it.

Asian Paints has also adopted new product brand names for some of its existing products. Accordingly, Permoglaze, Weathertuff Ultima, Weathertuff and Permoglaze All Weather have been rebranded as Premium Emulsion, APEX ULTIMA Weather Proof Exterior Emulsion, APEX Weather Proof Exterior Emulsion and ACE Exterior Emulsion respectively.

Asian Paints Royale Luxury Emulsion and Classique Interior Emulsion retain their names but have also adopted the new look.

Asian Paints Lanka Managing Director Joseph Pulikottil said: “The new packaging has been designed taking international standards and the mindset of the Asian consumer into account and will enhance Asian Paints’ positioning as a key player in the Sri Lankan market.”

Asian Paints Lanka was the first overseas acquisition of Asian Paints, one of India’s most respected multinationals with international operations in 22 countries. The company has been in operation in Sri Lanka since 1999.
