FCCISL seminar in Sinhala for plastic industry entrepreneurs, technicians

Small and Medium Enterprise Developers (SMED), the SME development arm of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka is organizing a seminar on Blow Molding and Injection Molding Machine Operations for Plastic Industry on Friday, 29th July 2011 at its Secretariat.   

In 1989, SMED conceived with the dedicated objective of fostering and promoting Small and Medium scale Enterprises (SMEs) of the country.  SMED has been equipped to assist SME industrialists to rise competitively through technical, managerial and marketing efficiency by providing technical, market development, networking and skill development support services.  In order to achieve these tasks, SMED organize seminars, local exhibitions targeted on SME machinery, technology, agricultural, handicrafts, livestock producers and service providers to meet at one platform.  SMED organizes delegations to well-known overseas trade exhibitions to gain knowledge on modern technology, share experience and tie up with potential partners.  Using the long-earned experience and expertise, SMED also provides assistance in enhancing export capabilities, improving employee work safety, quality and productivity, ethics and environmental protection in business practices.



Nowadays, seminars on industrial sector development and skill enhancement in Sinhala medium are not very common.  Identifying this requirement, SMED is organizing this blow molding and injection molding machine operations- the technology which is highly used in the plastic industry in the country will provide knowledge on identification of plastics and types of plastic processing methods which is a key knowledge requirement for those entrepreneurs and technicians involved in production of high quality plastic products.
