The HRM Awards 2012, announced on 24 January this year, is reaching the final countdown. With another few days to go, the HR fraternity in the private and public sectors is eagerly awaiting the HRM Awards 2012 at which the winners will be announced.

The HRM Awards are organised by the Association of Human Resource Professionals (better known as HRP) who have been adding value to the HRM profession in the country and gradually bringing HRM to the forefront of the business world.

When the Awards were announced early this year, there was keen enthusiasm from both the Public and Private Sectors to find out more about the Awards process and participate in the competition. This was evidenced by 79 entries – the largest number of entries received since the first awards in 2003.

This time, a separate category for the public sector was announced and entries have been received too.

Applicants have been shortlisted and the content partner of HRP, Aon Hewitt, has been busy in the last few weeks making in-company visits to validate applicant data to be presented to a panel of judges. Once again, HRP has ensured a distinguished panel of judges.

Aon Hewitts partnership with HRP on the Awards since 2007 has enabled the country’s business sector to derive country specific insights and the technical expertise of a globally acclaimed HRM Consulting Firm.

The HRM Awards 2012 will take place at the Cinnamon Grand Oak Room on 31 July from 6.45p.m. It will be a gala event to announce and celebrate the 2012 winners and offer the country’s HRM folk a great opportunity to network, enjoy an evening of fellowship and trip the light fantastic as only Sri Lankans know how.
