The Food, Beverage and Hospitality Exhibition organised by House of Rajkarnikar in Nepal was held in Kathmandu from 16-18 September at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, which was the largest Food, Beverage and Hospitality Exhibition held in Nepal.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu participated at the exhibition with a view to promoting Sri Lankan food products and Ceylon Tea in Nepal.
Traditional Sri Lankan food and Ceylon Tea were served to the onlookers and the visitors were curious to learn more about Ceylon tea after tasting Ceylon tea. A considerable number of entrepreneurs expressed their willingness to import Ceylon tea.
Posters and other cultural artefacts of Sri Lanka were displayed at the stall, illustrating the beauty and the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. Also disseminated were tourist brochures to the inquiring visitors. The people witnessed several aspects of culture, tourism that Sri Lanka had to offer to the world at this exhibition.
The Tea Board played a pivotal role in lending their hand to the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu to make the event a success. Many Sri Lankan expatriates extended their support in numerous ways to conduct the event.
