Fumo Communications was established in 1996 as a production unit for fibre optic assemblies. The company then based in Southern Italy, transformed over the years and now manufactures and distributes full end-to-end structured cabling solutions.

The Fumo product line-up includes five categories: Lightline – an entire range of fiber optic components and equipment, SilverLink – a comprehensive copper-based structured cabling solution, HeavyMetal – cabinets and panels, ‘S’ – logical and physical security solutions and equipment and QBranch – a full research and development laboratory, in addition to a dedicated service portfolio, including testing, training and consultancy.

In 2000, the company was first ISO-certified. Throughout the years, it was not only the manufacturing processes that were permanently extended and up-graded. Additional production units, offices and warehouses in strategic regions have been added, in order to grant best local services to the customers. Accordingly, outlets have been established in Switzerland, Germany, Spain, USA, Chile, Morocco, Egypt, Tanzania, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, China, Hong Kong and lately in Sri Lanka.

Fumo Communications is a private equity company, still a100% in the hands of the original founders.
