Galle Face Hotel to launch new Meetings, Seminar and Conference Centre

The Galle Face Hotel amidst extensive restoration of the landmark building will open its doors to a new meetings and conference centre from 1 July. “I am very pleased to be able to announce that the first stage in the long awaited restoration of the Galle Face Hotel will launch on 1 July 2014. As we complete milestones on the restoration project we will bring a series of new products to the market. The first of these products is: ‘meet…discuss...succeed’,” said Galle Face Hotel Group General Manager Tony Fleming. “We have, based on feedback with the local and regional business community developed a product to help them achieve their goals. We have re-defined a dedicated meetings, seminar, conference center and boardrooms dedicated to small to medium events focused on facilitating great outcomes. This product has been developed to meet the need for a ‘business’ focused facility. It recognises that efficiency, comfort and support from a venue will allow participants to focus on their goals.” Situated on the first floor of Galle Face Hotel, the new facility will add a new dimension to the Galle Face Hotel’s unique history and traditional hospitality offering that echoes across the hotel. The new centre will comprise of seven conference rooms, a library and two study rooms.   The hotel’s ability to accommodate one large group or several small groups simultaneously offers planners exceptional space versatility and functionality. Unique services in the ‘meet…discuss...succeed’ product include: Energy booster on arrival, coffee breaks at The Café; a contemporary private coffee shop serving quick treats and gourmet coffee, teas and drinks in an informal lounge setting – ideal for networking and recharging; gourmet lunch at one of our legendary restaurants; ergonomic high back conference chairs and uniquely designed working desks; state-of-the-art equipment, including multimedia projection, built-in sound system, wireless clip-on mics, and free wifi; in room refreshments, with an espresso coffee machine through the meeting; and a dedicated ‘conference concierge’ assigned to each meeting. Centrally located in the business capital of the country, Galle Face Hotel is close to the central business district and has easy access to the nightclubs, pubs, bars and restaurants for those who wish to ‘net work or team build’ after a day’s meeting.
