Government stakeholders hail Chevron’s record breaking safety performance

Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC Managing Director and CEO Kishu Gomes (Left) recently presented a commemorative plaque to Minister of Labour and Labour Relations Gamini Lokuge at the Ministry premises; to mark the special occasion of the achievement (Centre) of ‘10 consecutive years of incident free operations’ in Sri Lanka.

The plaque symbolises the unprecedented safety record achieved by Chevron, which sets a new performance standard for companies in Sri Lanka. The Minister expressed his appreciation for Chevron’s outstanding safety record and commended the company’s contribution towards the Government’s new Occupational Safety and Health Policy. Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator Vajira Hewawasam appointed by Chevron Lubricants Lanka, for its in-country operations; to ensure successful implementation and adherence to Chevron’s world-class EHS systems and safety processes was also present.
