Harley Owners Group to tour Sri Lanka with Wild Elephant

Wild Elephant, the popular high-power beverage from Sri Lanka’s No. 1 brand of soft drinks, Elephant House, joins the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Dubai chapter’s first ever tour of the island. Commencing from the Taj Airport Garden Hotel on 23 August, the seven-day tour will see the riders travel to many parts of the country, seeing and experiencing its tropical beauty, with their only mode of transport being their sturdy Harley-Davidsons. Wild Elephant, the power-packed drink from Elephant House has emerged as one of the most sought after beverages in this category for its ability to increase the body’s metabolism. Furthermore Wild Elephant’s special formula enhances concentration, reaction speed and awareness, hence its high demand among the active and energetic youth. Sponsoring this highly anticipated tour of the Harley Owners Group comes as a result of the brand’s desire to enhance an individual’s quality of life in terms of motivating them to grab each opportunity and turn it into a life-changing experience. The sixteen members of the Harley Owners Group of Dubai touring Sri Lanka, high flyers of the corporate and business sectors back home, will ride for a worthy cause. All proceeds generated by the tour will be channelled towards a CSR project, which focuses on establishing child-friendly pre-schools island-wide, with the aim of encouraging a child’s development through proper care and primary education. The bikers plan to visit one such school on their way through Hambantota, where the little ones will also be treated to a feast of Elephant House soft drinks and ice cream, making their day all the more special. The riders will begin their journey from Katunayake and make their way through Polgahawela, Kurunegala and Dambulla to reach Habarana by nightfall of 23 August. The following day will see them proceed through Polonnaruwa to Pasikudah for an overnight stay. Thereafter their next destination will be the historic city of Kandy via Mahiyanganaya, Digana and many other beautiful towns with cultural and scenic value. Mnday 26 August will see the riders heading into the hill station of Nuwara Eliya and then on to Yala, for a rendezvous with the country’s exotic wildlife. Through Hambantota, Galle and Bentota the tour route will bring the group into Colombo, giving the thousands living and working in Sri Lanka’s business capital their first view of the group of Harley-Davidson riders.
