Harsha appointed Chemanex Chairman

Harsha Amarasekera PC has been appointed as the Chairman of Chemanex Plc. He is also the Chairman of Chemanex’ parent CIC Holdings Plc. Harsha replaces M.D. Wickremesinghe who resigned as Acting Chairman at Chemanex recently. Harsha is a leading lawyer having a wide practice in the original courts as well as in the appellate courts, specialising in commercial law, business law, securities law, banking law and intellectual property law. He was appointed to the Board of CIC Holdings Plc in 2005 and as Chairman in 2014. He also serves as an Independent Director in several leading listed companies including Vallibel One Plc, Expolanka Holdings Plc, Chevron Lubricants Plc, Amana Bank Plc, Keells Food Products Plc, Amaya Leisure Plc and Vallibel Power Erathna Plc. With the latest changes, the Board of Directors of Chemanex Plc compriuses of S.H. Amarasekara (Non Executive Director/Chairman), A. Mapalgama (Managing Director/CEO), U.P. Liyanage, A.V.P. Silva and S.P.S. Ranatunga.
