Hasrath Munasinghe named ‘People Leader in Marketing’ by IPM

Commercial Bank’s Deputy General Manager – Marketing Hasrath Munasinghe has been presented with the highest HR accolade awarded to non-HR personnel in the country – the ‘People Leader Marketing’ 2015 award by the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM). BUP_DFT_DFT-3_03-15

The award was presented at IPM’s annual awards ceremony during the National HR Conference which was held at BMICH amidst a distinguished gathering of HR academics, HR professionals and practitioners, representatives of the business community, media and professionals from various fields.

This year’s People Leader Marketing, Munasinghe serves as the Deputy General Manager – Marketing at Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Sri Lanka’s No. 1 private bank and the only Sri Lankan Bank amongst the Top 1000 Banks in the world for four successive years.

He counts 20 years of experience in the fields of media, FMCG and telecommunications of which 15 have been in senior management. Throughout his illustrious career Hasrath has led his teams to achieve professional and personal excellence whilst achieving organisational goals.

Munasinghe is the recipient of many international and local marketing, leadership and business awards and holds nine academic and professional qualifications including two masters degrees. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), United Kingdom and is a Fellow of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) having the distinction of being the youngest Sri Lankan to receive this honour.

He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka region (CIMSLR) and as a Trustee of the Commercial Bank CSR Trust.
