Havelock City reaches new heights with topping-out

The largest residential development in Sri Lanka, Havelock City, hit a new milestone in the construction of its two new luxury residential towers, Layards and Davidson as concrete was poured on the highest point to mark the completion of the structural work. The onsite topping-out ceremony was held amidst a gathering of the Board of Directors and Management of Mireka Capital Land Ltd., along with representatives from International Construction Consortium Ltd. (ICC), the construction company for the twin towers. Designed by internationally renowned architects, Layards and Davidson towers will house 218 plush condominiums with select penthouses. With over 70% of the units presold, it will be ready for occupation by mid-2014. The highly successful phase one of Havelock City which comprises 226 luxury condominiums in the Park and Elibank towers are fully sold and in occupation. The project, which sprawls across 18 acres of prime land in the heart of Colombo, will have a total of eight luxury residential towers, a seven-acre landscaped roof garden with lush tropical foliage, a multifaceted clubhouse which offers a myriad of recreational activities and a large shopping mall with a dynamic shopping and entertainment experience – making Havelock City a true ‘city within a city.’ Mireka Capital Land is a joint venture between Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC – owner, manager and developer of the World Trade Center, Colombo, and Bank of Ceylon.
