Hemas Pharmaceuticals expands storage capacity with new acquisition

Hemas Pharmaceuticals Ltd recently finalised its purchase of a modern 35,000 square foot warehouse located on 180 perches of prime property in Elakanda, Wattala. Strategically located in close proximity to both the seaport and the airport, this warehouse is equipped with all necessary facilities for regulatory compliance including cold storage and temperature controlled environments. This investment has been made in line with the company’s future growth plans, to further strengthen its position as the largest pharmaceutical, surgical and diagnostics products importer in Sri Lanka and provide a better service to all its stakeholders including patients using the pharmaceuticals, surgical and diagnostics imported and distributed by the company. Hemas Pharmaceuticals Managing Director Sanjeewa Samaranayake said, “Our investment in this state-of-the-art warehouse will further enable us to develop and increase the efficiency of our operations throughout the supply chain and ultimately benefit the end-user of the products by ensuring quality and efficacy.” Hemas Pharmaceuticals currently has an extensive reach with its sales force covering over 3,000 customers, using the latest state-of-the-art technology and maintaining world class standards in its overall operations.
