Highest price obtained for Flowery Fannings Special Grade at this week’s tea auction

The highest price of Rs. 1,850 per kg was obtained for an invoice of ‘FBOPFSp’ grade produced by ‘Meddakanda’ estate at this week’s Colombo Tea Auctions held on 8-9 March. This price was the highest obtained for this particular grade from all elevations.

Meddakanda Estate which is situated in the Balangoda region is owned by Stassen Group of Companies and managed by Balangoda Plantations PLC.

The above tea was purchased by Uni World Teas Ltd. and the selling broker was Mercantile Produce Brokers Ltd.
