HSBC Colombo Fashion Week 2014 Spring Summer edition will be hosted by Hilton Colombo on the 6, 7 and 8 February, while different aspects of fashion week will start from 3 February, making it a week full of fashion related activities.
Colombo Fashion Week, in its 11th year, takes another step of strengthening Sri Lanka’s fashion design industry by introducing three more developmental aspects which will be consistent with the overall objective and vision of CFW which is to single mindedly work towards uplifting Sri Lanka’s fashion design industry.
Hilton Colombo returns as the host hotel for Sri Lanka’s most premier lifestyle event and it’s most anticipated. It will showcase a celebrity chef who will create special menus during the week as above.
“We will introduce new projects this year which we are confident will open new doors for our designers and enable them to extend themselves further in their profession, bring the Sri Lankan fashion industry forward and in line with global events. There is an interesting mix of designers who will be showcasing at this year’s event and we are excited to see Sri Lanka’s fashion industry getting better and bigger year on year,” says Colombo Fashion Week President and Director Ajai V. Singh.
Key Partners in this project currently are HSBC, Brandix, CJS, Range Rover, Odel, Spa Ceylon, British Council, Ramani Fernando Salons, Vision Care, Hellmann Logistics, Leo Burnett and Wijeya Group.
“We are creating a good story for our fashion industry and we are grateful for our partners who are with us on this journey, it’s a platform of collaboration,” says Colombo Fashion Week Director Dirk Flamer Caldera.
There will be 33 shows over three nights, in addition to three BRIGHT SPARK shows which will also be taking place during the week of fashion in Sri Lanka. At the end of each show date in the evenings an after party will be held at the Hilton Colombo; walking the ramps this year will be 15 international models and the first selected model pool from Supermodel Sri Lanka 2013.
