Huawei launches G Play, 4X, 6 Plus

Huawei, the number two smartphone brand in Sri Lanka, together with Singer Sri Lanka, the country’s number one brand and smartphone marketer and the exclusive national distributor for Huawei, yesterday unveiled three new latest Huawei Honor range at Waters Edge.



The Huawei Honor G Play, Honor 4X and Honor 6 Plus, a range of unique mid-market smartphones, with features on par with high-end smartphones had been introduced to the local market by Singer Sri Lanka. 



The launch of the Honor mid-range smartphones comes post a very successful Honor 3C and Honor Holly product entry into Sri Lanka last year in May.



Country Head Huawei Device Sri Lanka Henry Liu addressing the gathering said as an innovator the Huawei understood the customer dreams and inspired technological advancements that are embraced by their loyal customers.



“The Honor brand promise this year is ‘For the Brave’. Through the extension of the Honor brand, with the introduction of three new powerful products in Sri Lanka and we will help you to be who you are, and not who the world wants you to be,” he added. 

All Honor devices share three basic DNA qualities – smart image technology, long battery life and remarkable craft. Honor smartphones come with smart image technology which greatly enhance the phone’s camera through unique photographic algorithms and captures beautiful images. It features Smart power technology which ensures a 30% increase in battery standby time and longer battery life. 



Speaking at the launch, Singer Sri Lanka PLC Group CEO Asoka Pieris stated that Singer was excited to introduce a new range of Huawei smartphones which were high quality, solid designs that were coupled with powerful performance and features, providing a truly simplified experience to the user.



“We are delighted to partner with Huawei, a brand which is constantly innovating, identifying a rapidly changing end user and a technological landscape which is intensifying as we speak,” Piers asserted.      

 

He said the product would give high quality, powerful performance, best features and fantastic experience to the user. “Our effort is to expand the after services availability in every corners of the country,” he added.



The three Honor products epitomises Power Saving, a high performing Huawei Kirin processor and an elegant design. The high mid-range 4G Huawei Honor 6 Plus smartphone sports a 5.50-inch 1080x1920 display, 3.0 EMUI powered by a Kirin 925 octa-core processor alongside 3GB RAM and the world’s first parallel and dual camera. 



The Huawei Honor 4X is a 4G smartphone which caters to the mid mid-range category, sports a 5.50-inch 720x1280 display powered by 1.2GHz processor alongside 2GB RAM and 13-megapixel rear camera. The lower mid-range 3G Huawei Honor G Play is designed as ‘A Piece of Art’ that truly depicts Ingenuity. The device includes an Android 4.4 KitKat OS and is built on Huawei Emotion UI 3.0, with an octa-core 1.2 GHZ Kirin 620 processor, 2GB RAM, capacitive HD 1280x720 pixels and a 5-inch touch screen.



The Honor G Play, Honor 4X is priced and Honor 6 Plus is priced at Rs. 27,999, Rs. 33,999 and Rs. 69,999 respectively.

Sri Lanka’s number one smartphone marketer Singer Sri Lanka will ensure the availability of these products through the country’s largest retail network Singer, including Singer Mega, Singer Plus and SISIL World stores, comprising of over 400 retail outlets and Singer’s digital media channel that serves 1500 digital media outlets across the country.
