ICASL Business School convocation on Wednesday

The ICASL Business School convocation for 2011 will be held on 5 October at the Cinnamon Lakeside where 69 graduands will be conferred with Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia while another 60 will be conferred with Postgraduate Diplomas in Business and Financial Administration conducted by the ICASL.

The chief guest for the event will be Dean of Business and Law and Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Southern Queensland, Prof. Allon Layton, while Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Chevron Lubricant Lanka PLC, Kishu Gomes will be the guest of honour.

This will be the Business School’s second convocation.

In 2004, the ICASL, which has been the pioneer of chartered accountancy education in the country, together with USQ commenced offering the Masters Degree programme for Sri Lankans, and almost eight years since, the USQ MBA has been recognised as a prestigious qualification with approximately 200 students seen following the MBA during a single semester at any given time.
