The ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) won the INFOTEL 2013 Award of Excellence for its stall at INFOTEL this year, South Asia’s and Sri Lanka’s largest ICT exposition.
The award granting national ICT exhibition was held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Conference Centre (SLECC) Colombo from 24th to 27th of October. .
The award as the most creative stall was given to ICTA in view of the creative and attractive presentation of ICT-enabled projects to the public made at the ICTA stall. The biennially held INFOTEL exhibition was organised by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS).
At this exhibition ICTA facilitated a pavilion for 18 small and medium ICT companies under the Domestic IT SMB Linkages Programme conducted under the Improving IT ITES Sector Competitiveness Programme.
This is the first time participants at the INFOTEL exhibition were able to engage with a diverse group of software products and service providers under a common pavilion. The solutions showcased consisted of financial information , online tenders, local language software, automation systems, business search engines, enterprise mobility, retail software, search engine optimisation, e-learning, eReader, inventory management systems etc.
Themed “Enhancing Lives” INFOTEL 2013, coincided this time with World Summit Award– WSA 2013 Winners’ World Congress hosted in Colombo and organised by ICTA.
