The Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL), the apex body guiding and governing all professional engineers in the country has embarked on another pioneering initiative.
Sri Lanka’s inaugural National Engineering Conference under the theme ‘Engineering Sri Lanka’s Future’ is to be held on 24 October 2013 at the Hotel Galadari, Colombo. A large gathering of prominent engineers and the public keen on engineering is anticipated at the event.
The IESL has made elaborate plans to invite many distinguished personalities representing varying professional disciplines as speakers for the conference.
Registration and information on the event can be obtained from the conference website www.engineeringconference.lk.
The IESL brings the engineering fraternity together in driving most of Sri Lanka’s infrastructure development success. Continuous development of the engineering fraternity to be on par with evolving global standards and cutting-edge technological trends in all engineering and other disciplines is one of IESL’s key objects.
IESL firmly believes that this inaugural National Engineering Conference 2013 is another important milestone in the Institution’s history. At a recently held briefing, Eng. Tilak De Silva, the President of IESL, stated: “IESL will continue to provide value added services to members to bring in a multi focus dimension to make the Sri Lankan engineering profession holistic and complete.”
