The International Hotel School’s Dinushkanth Thiyagarajan (Student Hotel Operations Batch) won an award for his “exemplary student leaders for their efforts in fostering unity, integration, healing and peace building in Sri Lanka,” at the event ‘Ray Of Hope,’ which promotes cultural integration and conflict resolution in Sri Lanka. The event was held under the patronage of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
The event showcased a blend of Sri Lanka’s rich culture from the north, south and central areas championing groups of outstanding students from across the country through the Unity and Integration Awards.
The awards were held in recognition of exemplary student leaders for their efforts in fostering unity, integration, healing and peace building. The evening was truly inspirational and it showcased the many lives in Sri Lanka that have already been impacted.
Dinushkanth was selected from over 3500 nominees.
