Indexpo Certification Limited a new certification body established by the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) and National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) in Sri Lanka has been awarded with accreditation for its ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, HACCP and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certifications by Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB).
The accreditation has been awarded by Minister for Technology and Research Pavithra Wanniarachchi at the International Accreditation day ceremony held at Hotel Taj Samudra on 12 June.
Indexpo is not for profit Certification technically supported by United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) under Strengthen the International capacity project which is funded by Royal Norwegian Government.
The accreditation of the Certification Management System of Indexpo has been carried out by SLAB as per the ISO 17021 Standard for Conformity Assessment Requirements for Certification Bodies. SLAB is recognised by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and therefore all certifications awarded by Ind-Expo will be also having the equal International recognition as other certification bodies.
