Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi received a truly Sri Lankan welcome complete with a bouquet of flowers and pageantry. Taj Samudra Colombo Area Director and General Manager Rohit Khosla personally welcomed the Prime Minister and his delegation on arrival. Speaking on this momentous occasion Khosla noted, “The Taj Samudra Colombo is indeed proud to be a part of this significant event in the history of two neighbouring countries that have such close economic and cultural ties. It was indeed an honour to have Prime Minister Modi stay at the Taj Samudra and enjoy not only our signature hospitality, but also some of the latest additions to our property in Colombo.” Modi will definitely enjoy signature hospitality at the Taj Samudra Colombo during his two-day visit to Sri Lanka. This significant visit also marks the first bilateral visit of an Indian head of state after 25 years. Taj Samudra Colombo recently underwent an extensive refurbishment which included a facelift to its well-known façade and the re-opening of the legendary Golden Dragon, Luxury rooms and Samudra Ballroom. Post-refurbishment the Taj Samudra Colombo opens doors to a truly cosmopolitan mix of accommodation, dining, venue, convention and entertainment options within the five-star hotel.
