International Conference on Fisheries and Aquaculture from 24-25 August

With the prime objectives of promoting effective gathering and dialogue among those involved in research and development activities in fisheries and aquatic resources nationally and internationally, and to make a bridge between government and non-governmental organisations concerned in such activities, the 3rd International Conference on Fisheries and Aquaculture (ICFA 2016) will be organised by the International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka from 24-25 August in Negombo, Sri Lanka. 

This is the third successful time that this conference is organised and, this time Asian Institute of Technology collaborates with ICFA 2016 as the Academic Partner, while Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, NAQDA, NARA and INFOFISH are collaborating with the conference as Strategic Partners. 

Dr. K. Pani Prasad, Professor at Central Institute of Fisheries Education, India, Dr. W.M.T.B. Wanninayake ,Senior Marine Biologist and Former Professor of Fisheries and Aquaculture of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka and Dr. Steve Creech, Director of Pelagikos Ltd. will be co-chairing the conference, and Prof. Sena S. De Silva of School of Life and Environmental Sciences of  Deakin University together with Associate Professor Amararatne Yakupitiyage of Asian Institute of Technology of Thailand will be gracing the event as keynote speakers. In addition to this, Dr. Manoj R. Nair, Director and Chief Scientist at College of Micronesia Land Grant Program will be sharing his knowledge through a plenary session. 

The organising body, TIIKM, Sri Lanka expects that around 100 participants will take part in this conference representing countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Nigeria, United States of America, Germany and New Zealand, and they would wish to use this space to invite all individuals interested in the field Fisheries and Aquaculture to take part in this event as an attendee of the conference.
