International travel and tour mag makes presence at ‘Sancharaka Udawa 2014’

Sri Lanka The Treasure Island (SLTTI) – the international travel and tourism magazine published monthly – made a special presentation of its highlights at ‘Sancharaka Udawa 2014’ tourism and travel related mega exhibition in Colombo. The three-day exhibition commenced on 27 June at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) in Colombo under an initiative of Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa. SLTTI, at its stall at the exhibition displayed all its past issues for nearly one year since the commencement of the magazine, enabling interested foreign and local readers to purchase past issues at special concessionary prices. The latest May-June issue of the magazine is also available at the stall at a concessionary price. Sri Lanka The Treasure Island (SLTTI), in its content, includes travel information, reviews of historical, environmental, industrial, educational, commercial and socioeconomic contexts that are of vital importance to travellers and tourists arriving in the country. In its special segment ‘Developing Story’, the magazine brings out crucial reviews, proposals, discussions and information to focus the attention of relevant authorities and officials to effectively address rising issues pertaining to the industry in Sri Lanka. Each month, the magazine also presents a travel guide along with its main issue free of charge, to offer first-hand travel information to its readership. A copy of the latest issue of the magazine was handed over to Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa at the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition by the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Harsha Udayakantha Peiris. ‘Sancharaka Udawa 2014’, held for the fourth consecutive year, is conducted in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and Sri Lanka Tourism (SLTPB). The event is supported by Sri Lanka Association of Professional Conference, Exhibition and Event Organisers (SLAPCEO).
