ISMM Past President Ganesh is new President-elect of OPA

V. Ganesh, a Past President (2002/2005) and a Fellow of the Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), was elected as President Elect for the year 2012/2013 of the Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA) at its AGM held last week.

He was a Vice President of the OPA for four years up to 2012 and will take over as President OPA for the year 2013/2014.

Ganesh worked at Unilever Ceylon Ltd. for 33 years and ended his carrier as the Chief Buyer (Head of Procurement and Logistics) prior to retirement.  Subsequently he served as General Manager of Amico Industries Ltd. for a brief period.

Currently he serves as the CEO of Nawaloka Group of Companies. He also served as the Vice President of the Mercantile Hockey Association for several years and as Senior Vice President of the Sri Lanka Hockey Federation.

Gerry Hidelaratchi, a Founder Member and also a Past President of ISMM, served as President of the OPA in 2000/2001. Danesha Perera, currently President of ISMM, was appointed as a Vice President of the OPA for 2012/2013.
