Japanese Ambassador calls on Minister Dr. Amunugama

Senior Minister for International Monetary Cooperation and the Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Sarath Amunugama met Ambassdor of Japan Nobuhito Hobo yesterday (19) at the Ministry of Finance.
During their meeting they discussed among others the economic development of Sri Lanka. In the past two years, several major projects under Japanese Official Development Assistance were completed successfully. Those projects covered various areas in Sri Lanka, including the Southern Expressway, Upper Kotmale Hydropower Project, the reconstruction of five bridges in the Eastern Province and the renovation of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
