Japanese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Seiji Kihara visits Colombo Dockyard

The Japanese Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Seiji Kihara paid a courtesy call to Colombo Dockyard PLC during his recent visit to Sri Lanka on 9 May.
Colombo Dockyard is one of the success stories of Japanese collaborations operating in Sri Lanka.
Colombo Dockyard has been able to uniquely blend local skilled manpower along with Japanese corporate practices, to produce world class ships and also effectively operate the four graving dry docks, generating millions of foreign exchange to the Sri Lankan economy.
During this visit Chairman of Colombo Dockyard PLC presented the Vice Minister with a coffee table book on Colombo Dockyard, depicting the journey the company has traversed since its inception to date. Ranil Wijegunawardena MD/CEO, Y. Kijima Director, Prince Lye Head of Marketing NB and Japanese Embassy officials Minister A. Okai, First Secretary K. Iwase, Second Secretary T. Doi participated at the discussions.
The Vice Minister was impressed with the unique milestones achieved by Colombo Dockyard and wished continued success in the future.
