Japan’s Shima Seiki enters Sri Lankan apparel industry

Japan’s top global player in the fabric cutting quality product industry, Shima Seiki, is going places, venturing into the Sri Lankan market with its P-CAM technology through its local distributor Tajima Colombo Ltd. which will bring value addition to the local market which is a hub for lingerie.

Shima Seiki’s cutting-edge products are expected to be in big demand in view of the fact that Sri Lanka’s lingerie enjoying a huge export market running into over a billion dollars annually for their quality production, even catering to US lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret which recently announced its plans to source even more from Sri Lanka over the coming years.
