Appointed Sayerlack distributor for Mauritius and Seychelles

JAT Holdings Managing Director Aelian Gunawardene visited their principles Sherwin Williams Italy S.r.l with whom they have enjoyed a successful partnership since 1993. At this visit Sherwin Williams Italy S.r.l, manufacturers of the world’s number one wood coating brand ‘Sayerlack’, was proud to appoint JAT Holdings as their distributor for Sayerlack Wood Coatings in Mauritius and Seychelles, in addition to Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Bangladesh and India.

“JAT Holdings have been the distributor for Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and India and as a result of their excellent record over the past decade they will now handle the markets of Mauritius and Seychelles as well,” said Sherwin Williams Italy S.r.l Managing Director South Europe Alessandro Pirotta. Founded in 1993 with the primary objective of providing total timber coating solutions to the Sri Lankan furniture industry, JAT follows the credo, get the right finish first, with an understanding of how important the right finish really is to the end result. JAT is currently the largest retailer and distributor of wood coatings in Sri Lanka. Consequent to successfully establishing JAT in the timber coating market, the Company expanded its product offering to include a more comprehensive range of products for a wider range of surfaces and construction needs. Their current product portfolio includes decorative, domestic and industrial Emulsion, Exterior wall and Enamel paints, maintainers, putties and plasters , ceilings, flooring, decking ,office seating and paint brushes. “Continuing our success journey, JAT has now ventured beyond borders, signing agreements with corporate entities in the region,” said a justifiably pleased JAT Holdings MD Aelian Gunawardene. JAT has exclusive distribution rights for Sayerlack, Herman Miller, Borma Wachs, Armstrong, Gossen, Norton and Tai Ping. The company manufactures and distributes Crown, Permoglaze and Brush Master products. They currently own and operate six show rooms in urban and suburban areas of Sri Lanka and have a network of 11 channel partners with a reach of 3000-retail outlets island-wide. JAT has a production and warehouse facility in Kahathuduwa totaling 61,000 Sq ft, while their Head Office and warehouse in Thalawathugoda totals 16,000 Sq ft. The company is ISO 9001: 2000 certified.
