JAT Holdings, now a household name with their range of superior products which are widely in use both in corporate premises as well as households, have decided to further enhance their product range by establishing a series of tech centres, the latest one having opened in Moratuwa recently, taking the number of JAT Tech Centres up to six. “That’s not all, we hope to shortly open five more tech centres in Galle, Kurunegala, two in Colombo and Jaffna as well,” said JAT Managing Director Aelian Gunawardene. Gunawardene who believes in “getting the right finish first”, believes intrinsically in the power of after sales service. “You can have the best product in the world, but if you don’t have the after-sales capabilities to back it up, you cannot sustain this business, hence the JAT Tech Centres.” JAT Holdings provides free technical service, trainings and workshops to those in the finishing trade, dealers and the general public in choosing the right product, application procedures required in preparing and finishing substrates, as well as a myriad other services. It is the ideal setting for interior designers, architects, builders, homeowners, and custom installers to experience a cutting edge service of a one stop shop for all one’s furnishing and finishing needs. The tech centres are equipped with a spacious display area, a technical lab for colour matching, as well as a training center. Since its inception in 1993, JAT Holdings have steadily grown over a period of 20 years to become what it is today; the undisputed leader in furniture finishes. “We have recognised that the only lasting competitive advantage is supreme quality at an affordable cost, with customer satisfaction being our prime focus. We have set up the JAT Tech Centres with a view to further strengthening our customer relationships and services.” JAT also has over 2000 dealers island-wide who distribute their products, in addition to their tech centres in Thalawathugoda, Nawala, Havelock Road, Moratuwa, Kandy and Trincomalee. With regards to overseas expansion, JAT is the undisputed leader in wood finishes in Bangladesh. JAT also has a stronghold in South India and the Maldives and hopes to further extend its market share throughout India. Currently JAT represents Herman Miller, Borma Wachs, Crown Paints, Permoglaze, Gossen Decking, Armstrong, Tai Ping and Sayerlack, while their own brand Brush Master is fast proving to be the brush of choice in the painting industry. “Walk into any of our Tech Centres to experience the JAT service and get the right finish first,” says Gunawardene.
