Reaching its 20th year milestone this year, Just In Time Group (JIT) launched its long service awards to honour and appreciate current employees for their continued loyalty and dedication to the company.

As a wholly Sri Lankan ICT company with modest beginnings, JIT has over two decades grown to unparalleled success cementing its position and harnessing its success and expertise towards the ICT imprint in the country.

“In our journey of 20 years we have customers who wholeheartedly appreciate the commitment and multi skilled knowledge of our staff. Majority of our employees have been with us for over five years, taken the company through challenges and have celebrated many successes together. A sense of belonging and family like bond comes out strongly from our staff. They truly appreciate the vast learning and knowledge gaining opportunities available. Many of those who are outside the company do not see the value of the width and breadth of knowledge that one gains when they join a solutions integrator like our company,” commented Just In Time Group Chief Operations Officer Chrishan Mendis who has been at JIT for 18 years.

“We believe we can never suffice in our efforts to recognise our staff for their commitment to our organisation and through these awards we want to validate their efforts and dedication. We are constantly looking for ways to reward our employees and this award is timely as it coincides with our 20-year milestone and provides the perfect platform to felicitate and honour their long service and loyalty. Throughout our journey, through the ups and downs our staff have been resilient in the face of change – be it in the company or in the field of IT and have adapted remarkably and been the backbone of our successes,” added JIT Head of Legal/HR and Admin Sherene Goonetilleke.

It is also pertinent to mention that JIT was recently conferred with the prestigious Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award which has given them ample reason to celebrate their achievements. JIT is also a company who believes in consistent improvement in HR policy and inculcating values of a social employer with a complete holistic approach. Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards was organised by the Employer Branding Institute together with the World HRD Congress, Stars of the Industry Group and endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses – the award for JIT came about by being identified through and for their human resource practices of creating innovation at work.

“We have reignited the company spirit to emphasise and create a high performance organisation as part of our strategic objectives. We believe a performance driven culture focusing strongly on getting high excellence in the organisation’s objectives and stimulating people to achieve high performance where individuals realise they have accountabilities and obligations to themselves as well as the organisation  is fundamental to company growth,” was further added by Goonetilleke.

The awards aim to recognise staff under four categories reaching four milestones, 5, 10, 15 and 20 years. It is noteworthy to mention that over 70% of staff have completed five years or more at JIT.
