John Keells Hotels PBT up 16%

For the financial year 2014/15, John Keells Hotels PLC posted revenue of Rs. 11.38 billion, this being a 4% increase over the Rs. 10.97 billion, recorded in the previous financial year. 

Group profit before tax (PBT) was Rs. 2.19 billion compared to the corresponding figure of Rs. 1.89 billion in 2013/14. The profit attributable to the equity holders of the parent was Rs. 1.85 billion, an 18% increase over the Rs. 1.57 billion reported in the previous financial year. 

The Sri Lankan Resorts sector reported revenue of Rs. 5.09 billion, representing an increase of 4% over the previous financial year (2013/14: Rs. 4.88 billion). The Maldivian Resorts sector reported revenue of Rs. 6.30 billion, representing a growth of 3% over the previous financial year (2013/14: Rs. 6.09 billion).
