The Kay Jay Group with over 40 years of experience in the security industry, with special focus on security guards, cash transit services and electronic security equipments, has tied up with Skywatch Corporation from Taiwan to launch the SkyWatch series of cameras to the Sri Lankan and Maldives markets. “Unlike the commonly used analog CCTV systems that utilises hard disks and DVR machines, as its name implies, SkyWatch is an IP CCTV solution that utilises the ‘Cloud’ for data storage and retrieving. As the SkyWatch series of cameras are also wireless, installation is a breeze. Additionally, the quality of the pictures is much better than that of high quality analog optics,” said Kay Jay Director Kushal Johnpillai.

Since its establishment in 1975, Kay Jay Security has protected billions of rupees worth of property and valuables in Sri Lanka and is an ISO 9001 certified establishment.

Kay Jay has long established its presence at the forefront of the security industry, with a commitment to assuring the safety of their clients and an emphasis on trust, which has greatly contributed to the company’s success story.

Elaborating on SkyWatch, Johnpillai said, “The technology is best suited for small, medium, enterprises, and homes. With the benefits of having the capabilities of checking recordings directly from your mobile phone by accessing the cloud servers, this solution becomes very productive for young parents and busy entrepreneurs.”

Skywatch gives network cameras the horsepower they deserve and highlights include simple camera installation, online camera management, multiple live view and recorded video playback, event notification through email or Smartphone push alerts, online access of SD or NAS files on your cameras, secure HD live and recorded view on your Smartphones, and camera sharing with access controls.

Johnpillai said that all the above services are free for Skywatch Cameras and in addition they would provide flexible camera and cloud recording plans for both indoor and outdoor applications, and most importantly provide round the clock operations and maintenance service that is second to none.

In a nutshell, ‘the extra security offered, better quality and clarity of the cameras, and cloud-based recording which does away with the need for a DVR as well as wiring makes it an ideal solution for companies of any size and potential, while the camera technology works on the Wi-Fi connection of the company’.

SkyWatch is currently sold and marketed through Kay Jay Electronics Ltd, and will be soon retailed through one of Sri Lanka’s largest mobile operators.
