Keells Consultants CEO resigns, Acting CEO appointed

John Keells PLC yesterday informed the CSE that Sudath Chaminda Munasinghe, CEO of Keells Consultants Ltd., has resigned with effect from 1 October and has no relevant interest in the shares of the company as at date.

The company has appointed Hishantha Gerard Rodney de Mel as Acting CEO from 1 October. He has no relevant interest in the shares of the company as at 1 October. Mel joined the company as an executive on 2 October 2000 and was promoted as an Assistant Manager on 1 April 2005. He was promoted as Manger Tea on 1 April 2006 and appointed Head of Marketing, Assistant Vice President of John Keells Holdings on 1 July 2013.
