Kelani Cables felicitates their distributors and sales force

Sri Lanka’s number one cable brand manufacturer, Kelani Cables held their Annual Distributor Convention on 21 July at Heritance, Dambulla with participation of their CEO Mahinda Saranapala and General Manager – Marketing Anil Munasinghe.

Award ceremony was organised to reward the distributors and the sales staff who excelled during the financial year 2011/2012. The top performers received awards, certificates and cash prizes and foreign tours. The awards were given for three categories namely, Best Area Sales Manager, Best Sales Promotion Officer and Best Distributor (Large, Medium and Small Scale) including northern and eastern regions.  

Addressing the convention Kelani Cables CEO Mahinda Saranapala said, “The objective of this event in not only to reward the distributors and our sales force, but to develop a bond between the company and its stakeholders. By organising an event of this magnitude the rest of the staff member get an opportunity to congratulate the winners and this will encourage the winners to work more effectively in future.”

Gihan Lakmal Fernando (Western Province – 2) received the award for the best Area Sales Manager and best Sales Promotion Officer and best Project Sales Officer awards were won by Prasanna Kumara Wijesena (Western Province – 2, Negombo) and Thushara Fernando respectively. Mawathagama Regional Distributor A.K.M. Gunathillaka won the best distributor awards for large scale and Kelaniya Regional Distributor Poorna Weerasinghe won the medium scale category while S.K.M. Constructions of Batticaloa Region won the award for small scale category.

At the third annual distributor convention Director Marketing of Kelani Cables said, “The undying efforts made by our sales force and the distributors has helped us to become the number one cable manufacturer in the country. In recognition of their efforts and to encourage them we organise this award ceremony along with a two day outing at a five star hotel. Without just giving them only trophies and certificates, we give them a tour to Bangkok which will help them to continue their best in the coming years as well.”
