Kelani Cables recognises Kelani Insulation Tapes sales achievers with awards and foreign tours

Kelani Insulation Tape is a superior product in the Kelani Cables PLC’s product range. Sri Lanka’s number one brand in secure electrical and communication cables, Kelani Cables recently conferred exceptional sales personnel of its Kelani Insulation Tapes sector with accolades and foreign tours to Thailand.
The sales excellence awards ceremony held at the Taj Samudra Hotel was graced by Kelani Cables PLC CEO Mahinda Saranapala.
Kelani Insulation Tapes sector Assistant Sales Manager Gihan Fernando clinched the award for the Best Sales Manager in 2014 while Uddika Wijesinghe secured the Best Sales Promotion Officer award for the same year.
Kelani Insulation Tape as the leading product amongst all insulation tape brands in the country records the highest sales. In 2014 the product exceeded an unprecedented sales figure of four million units. Three zonal sales managers and six sales promotion officers who have contributed directly towards this feat were recognised by the company at the award ceremony.
Persons who championed the Kelani cables sales force to receive awards at this occasion were Sales Managers Gihan Fernando (Western zone-1), Dharshana Gamlath (Western zone-2) and Ralinda Lamahewa (Western zone 3 – Kelani lighting unit) and Sales Promotion Officers Uddika Wijesinghe (Colombo), Chandana Pushpakumara (Moratuwa), Sameera Sanjeewa (Kelaniya), Kapila Bamunusinghe (Nugegoda), K.P. Duminda (Gampaha) and Thusitha Pushpakumara of Puttlam.
Kelani Cables PLC Brand Development Manager Channa Jayasinghe who is in charge of the Kelani Insulation Tapes sector’s operations said Kelani Insulation Tapes dominated the local market within a very short period.
“This is the most popular insulation tape in the marketplace now. It showcases the endorsement made by the electrical technicians sphere towards Kelani Cables’ products. Over four million Kelani Insulation Tapes being sold last year is testimony to their loyalty towards our products. Our dynamic sales force should get the due credit. I salute them on this occasion when their dedication and efficiency is being recognised,” said Jayasinghe.
