Lakdhanavi receives National Occupational Safety & Health Excellence Silver Award

Lakdhanavi Ltd., the power generation arm of LTL Holdings group, was presented National Occupational Safety and Health Excellence Silver Awards 2016 for the outstanding level of achievements in workplace safety and health in operating Yugadanavi 300 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant at Kerawalapitiya. 

This achievement duly recognises the company’s commitment towards setting world class standards in safety, quality and demonstrated capability in operating large scale thermal power plants in an efficient and safe manner. Lakdhanavi Ltd. was recently awarded the internationally prestigious, Sri Lankan Power Plant of the Year Award for 2016 at the Asian Power Awards ceremony in Seoul, Korea September. 

Lakdhanavi Ltd. has a proud record of having zero occupational health and safety related major incidents for the last six years. By implementing all necessary OSH procedures and following best OSH practices, Lakdhanavi Ltd. has been able to introduce new safety dimensions to Sri Lankan thermal power generation and heavy industry. Lakdhanvi Ltd. has also been recognised with ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certifications by DNV Norway giving credible evidence to the high standards which they are always associated with.
