Laksala promises festive fiesta with new designs, discounts galore for Avurudu

All outlets across the island will be gaily decorated in seasonal design motifs, with special lighting, stalls and other displays to delight shoppers.

While being a perennial favourite among tourists and expats, Laksala has aimed the Avurudu festivities and discounts mainly at luring Sri Lankan shoppers who could purchase the best of genuine, locally crafted items, at prices they could only dream of. While creating the true spirit of Avurudu, these festivities are intended to give Sri Lankans a unique shopping experience, which will turn them into lifelong fans of Laksala.

In addition to low prices on most items, shoppers will be delighted to find many items going at very attractive prices on garments and gift items until 30 April. Laksala stores will have a wide variety items on sale for everyone. This gives shoppers the chance to buy not only for themselves and their families, but to purchase gifts at unbelievable prices for t heir near and dear. Avurudu discounts will be on offer at all Laksala outlets throughout Sri Lanka until 30 April.

The Laksala outlet at Thummulla Junction, Bambalapitiya, the flagship store of the brand, will be the venue of many Avurudhu related festivities. These include the ‘live’ creation of handloom garments and batiks, pottery and handicraft items by original craftsmen who have been specially brought in from across the country. They will be on location for the duration of the season. From 9 to 13 April it the Thummulla outlet will feature cooking of Avurudu food, where shoppers can savour their favourite Avurudu food being cooked right in front of their eyes.
