Lanka Aluminium Industries PLC, the pioneers in the manufacture of high quality powder coated aluminium extrusions, opened yet another sales and service centre in the city of Seeduwa. This strategic location was identified due to the fact that many industry personnel in the north western area are not privy to value additions compared to those who are in Colombo and the suburbs.

The opening ceremony took place this month, and the event was graced by the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Seeduwa Gamini Hettiarachchi. This is the third showroom opened by Lanka Aluminium Industries within a span of two months, with Kurunegala being the predecessor.

Dinal Peiris, Managing Director of Lanka Aluminium Industries, stated that the main thinking behind the opening of the sales and service centre was to bring a much needed value addition to the industry in terms of innovative trends in aluminium fabrication which emphasises on ease of fabrication and convenience, introduction of modern systems and to expose this segment to technological advancements that has taken place elsewhere in the world.

He further stated that this will bring about a much needed change in the prevailing systems, methodology and fabrication in the country which is known to be over three decades old. In addition, the sales and service centre will provide the fabricators, contractors, and other relevant personnel in the Seeduwa area with their requirement of aluminium extrusions, which they will be able to purchase at ease.

Further, technical advice such as wind calculations, specifications, shop drawings and related advice will be provided and channelled through the sales and service centre to the construction industry. Lanka Aluminium Industries firmly believes that customers are their stakeholders and hence together with the esteemed industry personnel in the Seeduwa area, they have embarked on this journey of technological innovation.
