Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC has added yet another outstanding convenience to its value added customer services. Singer recently formed a new partnership with Lanka Electricity Company Ltd. (LECO) in conjunction with Singer Express Pay, the bill payment facility provided by Singer. The advantage of the partnership between Singer and LECO is that LECO customers are now able to settle their bills through Singer’s island-wide retail network. An agreement between Singer and LECO was signed at an official function held on 25 June 2014 in the presence of the senior management of both entities. Singer Express Pay is a streamlined bill collections facility that alleviates the hassle of having to settle living expenses by visiting multiple service providers. Over 30 popular service providers have partnered with Singer due to the breadth of the Singer retail network, as well as the high quality of customer service that each outlet provides. Singer Express Pay has so far partnered with all utility services from the Ceylon Electricity Board to water and internet providers, as well as HSBC, American Express and Standard Chartered Credit Cards, Union Motor Re-Load, Janashakthi Insurance, mobile service providers – Dialog, Mobitel, Etisalat, Airtel and Hutch, home phone providers – Sri Lanka Telecom and Lanka Bell, and Singer Finance. Whichever Singer outlet that an individual frequents or prefers, the Singer Express Pay facility is available at all Singer Plus, SISIL World, Singer Mega and Singer Homes outlets. Those who are members of the Singer Loyalty Scheme will be rewarded with points every time a payment is made through Singer Express Pay. Speaking about the partnership, LECO Chairman Sagara Kariyawasam said: “We are glad to be able to connect with LECO customers through the Singer network. Singer is a household brand in Sri Lanka, and our customers can easily make their LECO bill payments through any of the Singer retail stores that are located throughout our service range, from Negombo to Galle, excluding inner Colombo.” Singer (Sri Lanka) Senior Manager Financial Services Viresh Gomes stated: “We established a streamlined bill payment facility within the Singer retail network in an effort to cater to the needs of modern Sri Lankans. Singer Express Pay has become a popular option because our experienced customer service representatives ensure that a professional service is provided, devoid of the hassle of waiting in queues and wasting precious time.” The state-of-the-art IT system that powers the Singer retail network seamlessly connects Sri Lanka’s service providers with Singer Express Pay. The system delivers up to date payment records, clear and concise receipts and automatically uploads points onto Singer loyalty cards. With the latest addition of LECO to the Singer bill collections facility, Singer has surpassed its reputation as a one-stop consumer durable giant and is now also a one-stop utility bill payment provider. The partnership between Singer and LECO further secures Singer’s position as the most valuable customer experience provider in Sri Lanka.
