Lanka Hospitals: First resign and then get reappointed!

Several Independent Non-Executive members of the Board of Directors of Lanka Hospitals Corporation Plc who resigned last week have been reappointed.

Those who were lucky to get back their Board seats were Chaminda Siriwardena, Dr. Anil Abeywickrama, Uma Rajamantri and Prof. Dilani Lokuhetty. 

Others who resigned but did not get reappointed were Keith Bernard, Jayantha Munasinghe and Dr. Rohan Lalith Wijesundera. 

They resignations were made on 9 May but announced on Monday and the reappointments were effective on 12 May and announced yesterday. 

The company also announced a new appointment to the Board, that of Aruna Siriwardhana. He is the Joint Managing Director of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, the major shareholder.
