Lanka Sathosa revs up islandwide branch expansion

In an effort to provide quality goods at an affordable price, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce yesterday opened 52 new and fully-equipped State-run Lanka Sathosa outlets across the country. 

To mark this landmark occasion, the Kohuwala Lanka Sathosa outlet was opened by President Maithripala Sirisena.   

President Sirisena engaged in an inspection tour along with Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, State Minister of National Integration and Reconciliation A.H.M. Fowzie and MP S.M. Marikkar. 

The objective is to expand the current islandwide branch network of 380 to 500 by the end of this year.
