LAUGFS Gas bags Gold at NBEA 2013

LAUGFS Gas PLC, a subsidiary of LAUGFS Holdings, bagged Gold award under the category of ‘Other Services’ at the prestigious National Business Excellence Awards 2013 (NBEA) held at the Hilton Colombo recently. LAUGFS Gas CEO Ashan De Silva received the award on behalf of the company. This is the second major award received by the gas industry giant this year, having won a national level top ten award at the Achiever Awards for Industrial and Service Excellence in September. These accolades are a testament to the remarkable growth and expansion experienced by LAUGFS Gas over the past few years.

The National Business Excellence Awards is an annual award competition conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL). The main aim of the awards is to recognise business enterprises which have demonstrated excellence in business whilst contributing to the economic progress of the country. Having commenced operations in 2001 as a national enterprise in direct competition with a multinational giant, LAUGFS Gas has grown over the years to become a local giant in the energy sector. The secret to the success of the company has been the identification of customer needs and its efforts towards improving its products and services through continuous value addition.
